Get Strong 2012 Prin 7
Thank you Lord. I was praying last night in bed and He gave me wisdom to move forward with my weight loss. I haven’t yet started reducing my intake (that is coming soon!), but I did walk farther this morning. Daniel came with me and we headed up and out to the street and down to the park to our neighborhood park. Then we walked back the longer loop I’ve done a few times. I was out longer and felt it. I’ll do the same thing tomorrow.
I’ve been thinking about getting up earlier. I’d like to do a long walk with some worship music on the iPod before Dan gets up and then take a short walk with him and start the day.
Last night while praying the Lord told me “GET STRONG”. So I was thinking about how to do that. I know! The Jorge Cruise exercise cards! Perfect for fat people, they focus on resistance weight training with no special equipment and no cardio! THAT will be perfect!
The 8 minutes of resistance training this morning was AWESOME! I put on iTunes and brought up an online timer-easy! Can’t wait to do it again tomorrow! Love that the exercises repeat every 30 days so I won’t get bored easily. I know when I take off 30lbs and get under 200lbs, I’ll be able to do more and different exercises.

Walk More
My friend Marilyn was over and I was expressing to her that I want to lose weight. She made the comment that when her daughter lost weight, she was walking many miles per day. This made me realize I need to start expanding my walking distance. Tomorrow morning I’ll give that a try.

Oh-my-word. This is so SICK. I’ve been writing down everything I eat…and it is disgusting when I see it on paper. Is this why you are having me do this, Lord? So I can really SEE the excess food I’m consuming every-single-day!? Grotesque gluttony. I had no idea.

Daily Calorie Sheet
I’ve made a tracking sheet for calories. I have some numbers for healthy daily intake for calories, fat, carbs and protein. The Lord is telling me to track my REAL intake for about a week and then evaluate. I can tell He is leading me to a new place, that’s really exciting!
I’ve been continuing my short neighborhood walks, drinking water (though I need to be tracking this and bumping it up), eating Fiber One for breakfast, cutting back on sweets for only special occasions, and thinking about calories, weight loss and a method for lifestyle change.

Six Mile Bike Ride
This is NOT what I had planned! It was way warmer (80) than we expected and we didn’t take enough water. With the ups and downs, it was just too much for me. I did about three miles and then was just too tired. I walked and rode, on and off, until I reached the fitness center. Thankfully, the kids did just fine. And though tired, I’m still ALIVE!

Calories Don't Lie Prin 6
So I’ve been wondering what I’m going to do and how this is going to work. I’ve been pressing into the Lord as I’m feeling so desperate to actually start losing weight and changing my lifestyle. I know calories don’t lie and I've started researching appropriate levels for daily caloric intake as well as for fat, carbs and protein.

Shake Weight

Easter Hike
So Easter morning, here we are on a gorgeous day and a painful hike! The backside of the loop was really vertical DOWN and hurt my knees. Way too much elevation for me...more motivation to change my ways.

Get Up Earlier Prin 5
I was sitting here in the sunroom talking to the Lord about things awhile ago, and he impressed upon me to stop being a night owl and start being a morning person. This was SHOCKING to me! I didn’t even know that was possible!
Sarah prefers when I go to bed when she does, so I’ve been going to bed much earlier than in the past. I’m actually getting more sleep! And I’ve been waking up earlier and easier, sometimes even before Daniel! I took a few walks on these earlier-than-normal mornings and found I really LIKE walking early! Sometimes I don’t even need an alarm! Thank you Lord!
